VI (Vitality Institute) chemical peels are a type of medium-depth chemical peel designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance. What Does VI Chemical Peel Treatment Involve?

VI chemical peel is a non-invasive, in-office treatment performed in a dermatologist’s office, medical spa, or by a licensed professional. In general, the treatment involves the following steps:

Initial Consultation:

  • A skincare professional will assess your skin concerns and determine the appropriate VI peel type. 
  • You may be advised to stop using retinoids, exfoliants, and harsh skincare products a few days before the procedure.

Procedure:

  • The skin is cleansed to remove oil, makeup, and impurities to ensure even absorption of the peel.
  • The chemical peel solution is applied in layers using a gauze or brush.
  • You may experience a mild tingling or warm sensation, which subsides quickly.
  • The peel remains on the skin for 4 to 6 hours before being washed off at home.
