Dermal Fillers

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical way to treat facial lines and wrinkles, restore lost volume, and enhance facial features for a youthful and natural beauty. Dermal fillers can be carefully administered into the skin to bring balance and harmony to the face. Most dermal fillers are temporary, and their effect lasts between 6 to 18 months. The correct option of dermal fillers ensures it's designed according to the result to be injected.

Besides this, dermal fillers can give you a lot of other aesthetic benefits. Here are the treatments that can be used to achieve beauty standards and balance:

  • Cheek enhancement: Volume loss in the cheeks is one of the earliest signs of aging and dermal fillers can be used to plump up the cheeks for a youthful look.
  • Chin augmentation: Dermal fillers can be used to bring a recessed chin forward. It can also fill the skin and remove lines, dramatically altering your facial appearance.
  • Improving the appearance of post-acne scarring: Also acts on scars or connective tissue that causes a depression in the skin. The skin can be filled and smoothed using dermal fillers.
  • Adding volume to thin lips: In use for helping you get a fuller and more luscious pout, dermal fillers can be used to reshape and correct any drooping or unevenness of your lips.
  • Fillers for aging hands: Other than your face, the skin on your hands is most exposed to the harmful effects of the sun and the environment. Specially so, there are also injectables that can add volume and improve the look of your hands.

Being a non-surgical treatment, dermal fillers are a cost-effective way to improve your facial features. The effects of the procedure can be routinely seen with minimal downtime and fewer risks of complications as compared to surgery.

Procedure of Dermal Fillers

I. Pre-procedure Consultation

Your treatment begins with a comprehensive initial assessment. We discuss your goals, review medical history, and map out a customized treatment plan to achieve a natural, youthful appearance.

II. Preparation

The area to be treated is cleaned. A numbing cream may be applied to ensure comfort. Many HA fillers also contain lidocaine to minimize pain when given the injection.

III. Injection Process

Using a fine needle or cannula, small amounts of dermal filler are injected strategically into targeted areas. The provider may gently massage the area to ensure smooth and even placement. Treatment typically takes 30-60 minutes.

IV. Immediate Results

Results are visible right away, with full end results settling in over 1-2 weeks as swelling resolves.
